THE PHOTOGRAPHS
Making photographs is different to taking photographs.
For me, making a photograph is about creating an image
with the help and participation of the people captured
in the frame; it is an interactive practice which involves,
includes and incorporates. My photography is concerned
with making. Neither purely portraiture nor purely landscape,
my work aims to make visual the relationship between
people and their surroundings. Whether photographing
an elderly care home, a homeless trust, or a school,
my aim is to put both the landscape and its inhabitants
in focus.
